Kruse Farms (“we,” “us,” or “the family”) operates this website at krusefamilyfarms.com. We're a fourth-generation family farm in Almont, Michigan. This page explains what information we collect from people who visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Short version: We only collect what you give us through the contact form — name, email, phone, and your message — and we use it to respond to your inquiry. We don't sell your data to anyone. Information we collect
When you fill out the contact form on this site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you provide one)
- What you're interested in (e.g. half cow, individual cuts)
- The message you write
- The date and time of submission
When you visit the site, our hosting provider may automatically receive standard technical information like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We don't tie this back to your identity.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us only to:
- Respond to your question or beef reservation request
- Follow up about pickup scheduling, payment, or cut sheet preferences
- Send you a confirmation that we received your message
- Keep a record of past customers in case you want to reorder
We do not use your information for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral profiling. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.
How your information is stored
Form submissions are stored in Google Firebase / Firestore, a secure cloud database operated by Google. Email replies are sent and received through standard email services (currently Apple iCloud). Both providers maintain industry-standard security practices.
Only Kruse family members with their own login can view, reply to, or delete inquiries.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form submissions and customer records as long as we reasonably need them to serve repeat customers and respond to follow-up questions — typically a few years. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we'll do so within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a small number of functional cookies only — they let the site remember things like whether you've dismissed the “availability” bubble for the day. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any behavioral tracking technology on this site.
If we ever add analytics, we'll update this policy and tell you in advance.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Tell you what information we have about you
- Correct any information that's wrong
- Delete your information from our records
- Stop emailing or calling you

Third-party links
Our site may link to other sites — for example, our Facebook page, the butcher we work with, or community sponsors. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Read their privacy policies if you have concerns.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
